I recently moved to Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. There is a vibrant 55+ community with friendly neighborhoods and more activities than I can ever hope to get around to doing. Immediately after moving in, I was greeting by my new neighbors, and invited to a “welcome to the neighborhood” party where I met most of the folks living on my street.
One of my new neighbors made the comment to me that “since you are a fit, single man, once you start joining some of the clubs here at Sun City, you are going to receive a lot of casseroles”. Wow, I thought to myself. That sounds great. I love casseroles!
Well, I’ve been living here at Sun City for over 3 months now, and have joined and participated in a bunch of clubs, and have yet to receive even a single casserole. So my question is, “Where are all the casseroleds?”
I discussed this with a fellow Sun City resident, and we decided to explore the situation further. After speaking with several people, we found they had heard similar things.
